Average diesel price dips

The average U.S. retail price of diesel fuel decreased to $1.476 from the previous average of $1.491, the Department of Energy reported – thereby cutting off a two-week trend of escalating prices.
The highest average prices are in California, at $1.660 a gallon; the West Coast, where the price is $1.605; and in New England, where the price is also $1.605. The lowest prices are on the Gulf Coast at $1.428 and in the Lower Atlantic region, where the average price is $1.426.
Other average prices: the Central Atlantic region, where the price is $1.593; the Rocky Mountain region, where the price is $1.535; $1.448 in the Midwest; and $1.484 on the East Coast.
